History

In August 2022, the Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas, decided to plant a new confessional Reformed Baptist Church in the Temple, Belton, Killeen, Fort Hood area.  After making this decision, we took several steps to actually launch the new church plant.

  • Appointed one of the elders of Emmanuel, Pastor Matthew Vincent, to serve as Church Planter until the Lord provides a permanent Church Planter.
  • Assigned a second elder of Emmanuel, Pastor Bob Curley, to assist Pastor Vincent in the work of planting this new church.
  • Created a website that was live in September 2022.
  • Advertised the Redeemer Reformed Baptist Church plant by television, newspaper, and online advertisements.
  • Arranged for a meeting location at the Belton Christian Youth Center (BCYC).
  • Conducted one worship service a month on the first Sunday evening of each month at 6:30 p.m. in November 2022 through February 2023.
  • Conducted a monthly prayer meeting and a monthly fellowship meal in the homes of some of the people committed to establishing the church plant.
  • Leased a small church building and transitioned to worship services every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. beginning March 5, 2023.
  • Provided a Nursery for children ages 0 through 3 during worship services.
  • Started having a Fellowship Meal after every worship service with our first Sunday morning worship service on March 5, 2023.
  • In June 2023, Pastor Bob Curley was appointed the primary Church Planter for Redeemer RBC.  Pastor Curley will be the permanent Church Planter.
  • Pastor Matthew Vincent returned to serving as pastor of Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas, the first of March 2024, if not earlier.
  • On October 1, 2023, Jaime Serrano was commissioned as the second Church Planter for Redeemer RBC.
