Our Pastors

The pastors of the Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church, Georgetown, Texas, will serve as the Church Planters.  They will share responsibilities for preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.  Pastor Matthew Vincent is the lead Church Planter for Redeemer Reformed Baptist Church and will fulfill most of the responsibilities of pastoral counseling, outreach, visitation, and administration.  Pastor Vincent will also share in the preaching and teaching.

Pastor Bob Curley

Bob holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in literature from Wichita State University.  He has also taken classes at Golden Gate Seminary’s Brea, California campus as well as Westminster Seminary California.  Bob’s first pastorate was the First Baptist Church of Lawndale, CA, where he served for more than three years.  After assisting FBC Lawndale to call another pastor, Bob pastored the Calvary Southern Baptist Church in El Monte, CA for twelve years.  He led the church through reformation and continued serving in the church, renamed the El Monte Reformed Baptist Church, for an additional four years.  Since the church was located in a predominantly Latino community, Bob studied Spanish at a local college, and during his last five years in the church he preached and pastored in both Spanish and English.  Bob has been actively involved in the work of five church plants located in California, Texas, Minnesota, and British Columbia. God saved Bob when he was forty years old.   Prior to entering the gospel ministry, Bob did some volunteer work with the Salvation Army, and was involved with Christ for India, an organization that provided support and encouragement to indigenous churches in India.  It was during a trip to India that God began to call Bob to the preaching ministry.  Bob also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Arcadia Christian School in Arcadia, CA for seven years.  In addition to his ministry-related experiences, Bob has completed a career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Human Resources Director and Associate Warden.  He was a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division and served in Vietnam.  Bob is married and has five adult children and seven grandchildren.

Pastor Jaime Serrano

Pastor Jaime was born and raised in California, in a Roman Catholic family. He was saved in his early twenties and began attending Calvary Chapel Salinas. In 2004 he graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College with an Associate of Theology.  It was during his time in bible college, while studying in Lima, Peru, that he met his wife Janet. In 2008 Jaime and Janet were married. A year later, the Lord brought Jaime to believe the “doctrines of grace.” Shortly after, Jaime and his family began to attend Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of Silicon Valley, where he grew in his understanding of reformed theology, began preaching at a rescue mission and occasionally on Sundays. In 2018 Jaime graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a B.A. in Communications and moved to Escondido to attend Westminster Seminary California. While at seminary, he and his wife were faithful members of Christ Reformed Baptist Church (CRBC) in Vista, CA. In 2022 he graduated from Westminster with a Master of Divinity degree and began a one-year internship at CRBC with Pastor Jason Walter.  In 2023 Jaime accepted the call as a church planter at Redeemer Reformed Baptist Church in Belton, Texas and was ordained as one of its pastors on February 24, 2024. Jaime and Janet as well as their seven children are enjoying living in Texas.
